World First Aid Day introduced by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in year 2000 and celebrated on the second Saturday of September every year. This is an annual campaign to promote the importance of first aid in preventing injuries and saving lives.
This year on 20th October 2021, the Malaysian Red Crescent Society of Penang has organized “Everyone Can Be a First Aid Hero” 3-min video competition for all Red Crescent members to demonstrate their first aid and presentation skills in first aid at home and how it should be done properly. The event is also aimed at raising public awareness of the importance of first aid regardless of their age, and showcase talent of our youth in stylish video filming in first aid education.
