Malaysian Red Crescent at the world level is better known as the Red Cross. It was founded by Jean Henry Dunant. He was born on May 8, 1828 in Geneva, Switzerland and is known as the Father of the Red Cross. World Red Cross Day is celebrated in conjunction with the birthday of the founder of the Red Cross Movement. On that day, MRCS Penang State will conduct various activities in remembrance of Henry Dunant.
