Advanced Certificates

MRC certified Instructor

1. Passed all Basic and Advanced Certificate Examinations
2. Teaching Methodology (Teachers are exempted)  – 12 ch

MRC certified Senior Instructor

1. Have done at least 30 hours of teaching experience in the Basic courses and assisted the Senior Instructor in conducting the Advanced courses.
2. Minimum 3 years experience as MRC certified Instructor.
3. International Humanitarian Law (IHL)  – 8ch
4. Basic Life Support (BLS)  – 14 ch
5. Have performed the training duties to serve the society and recommended by the Branch Chairman.

          Total = 40 persons

Objective :
a) To trained active members to become Instructors.
b) To increased more Instructors for the demand of courses in the market and training projects.
c) Shortage of Instructors in the Zone.

Lecturers & Examiners :
ICRC – 1 person
IPK- 3 person
Penang Branch – 6 person
Total = 10 person

Results (Passing rate):

a) Education in Red Cross & Red Crescent & IHL > 100%
b) Disaster Relief and Rescue Operation > 86.0%
c) Health Education > 100%
d) Adminstration and Management > 37.8%
e) Advanced First Aid > 44.0%
f) Teaching Methodology > 36.8%
g) Overall: passing all subjects & become certified as Instructor  > 21.6%

The MRCS certified instructors (Jurulatih PBSMM) are those members who completed the studies and passed all required certification modules with excellent.

Refresher and renewal of certificate in first aid needed every Three (3) years and must actively conduct the training courses for members and public.

Their certificates and badges are issued by National Headquarter and world wide recognised by International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
