Description :  This course presents an insight into fire regulations and general fire precautions that trained by Fire & Rescue Department of Malaysia (Jabatan BOMBA & Penyelamat Malaysia), covers role of youth leader, role of first responder during emergency, action on discovering a fire, causes of fire, fire safety precautions, how to use fire extinguishers, liaison with the fire service, fire safety legislation, common causes of fire, fire drills and evacuation.

The MRC Heritage Walk 2010 is a fund-raising event organised by the Malaysian Red Crescent, (MRC) Penang Branch.  It will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Esplanade (Padang Kota Lama).

This is the second year that the MRC, Penang Branch is organising this Heritage Walk, in conjunction with the Second Anniversary of the City of Georgetown being named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Apart from our MRC members, we encourage members of the public to participate in the Heritage Walk.  This year we are working with several corporate organisations and companies to send their staff members to take part in the Walk.

The corporate bodies will pay for the Registration Fees on behalf of their staff so that this becomes a “company” outing where their staff can enjoy taking part in a healthy event while at the same time, take in the sights and sounds of the Inner City of Georgetown. While their staff benefit from exercising and “team-building”, the corporate bodies also get to do their Social Corporate Responsibility (CSP) by contributing funds to the Red Crescent for its humanitarian work.

We hope more and more corporate bodies will join in the Heritage Walk and send their staff members for the Walk. Please contact our office for more details. Charity Blood Donation Campaign
in conjunction with World No Tobacco Day 2010

In 2010, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is commemorating the 151 years anniversary of the battle of Solferino. we are also marking the 91st anniversary of the founding of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the 61st anniversary of the Geneva Conventions, which give protection to the most vulnerable people in times of war.
